Former president Nelson Mandela’s grandson, Mandla Mandela, has disowned his younger brothers, Mbuso and Andile, and told a press briefing they were not the children of his late father, Makgatho.

This was not the only startling revelation made at the briefing at Mvezo Great Place.

1. His father, Makgatho, impregnated a married woman and Ndaba was the result of “that act”.

2. Mbuso and Andile are not his brothers.

3. He was being targeted because he had opposed his family in the artwork saga.

4. His aunt, Makaziwe, and her children have no say in the Mandela family business. As Makaziwe is a married woman, she is supposed to be focusing on her marriage.

5. Makaziwe is supposed to fulfil the role of unifier, but “all she’s had to do is sow divisions and destruction”.

6. He has no knowledge of where his grandfather, Nelson Mandela, will be buried.

7. His grandfather told him he wanted to be buried in the family gravesite in Qunu, not in the gravesite being prepared for him on the Qunu farm.

8. In the past two years the family never raised concerns over the remains of three of Mandela’s children.

9. He was instructed by Makaziwe to remove their remains from the original gravesite in Qunu.

10. He holds the right to determine where his father, Makgatho, should be buried.
