Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns will be in Cape Town tonight in search of their first Absa Premiership win of the season after an indifferent start to the new campaign.

Coach Pitso Mosimane’s side face Ajax Cape Town at Cape Town Stadium tonight at the back of a draw in their opening game against Maritzburg United on Friday.

Mosimane is already under pressure to appease the club’s fickle fans who are calling for his head after last weekend’s draw and the first round elimination from the MTN8 Cup by Platinum Stars a week earlier.

Similarly, Ajax are also in the hunt for their first win of the season after they held AmaZulu over the weekend.

Coach Roger de Sa will start with an altered defence following the red card to centre back Nazeer Allie during their goalless draw against Usuthu.

Soweto giants Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are both playing away this evening.

Pirates face Bloemfontein Celtic in the Free State, while Chiefs will meet Mpumalanga Black Aces for the second time in a space of 10 days since Amakhosi’s 4-0 drubbing of AmaZayoni in the MTN8 Cup quarterfinals.
