Netball Premier League ‘up and running by December’

2013-04-17 17:30

The Netball Premier League (NPL) will be “up and running by December”.

Director general in the department of sport and recreation Alec Moemi said it was only a matter of “finalising the behind the scenes deals with sponsors”.

Moemi added that planning a sport’s league wasn’t child’s play and said the department was not in a rush.

Moemi further praised Netball South Africa for being the “most stable federation that has no unnecessary squabbles unlike many other sport federations in the country”.

Netball has been identified as one of priority codes to receive special attention from the department of sport in 2013.
