Ekse: Let’s Talk with Masechaba Lekalake

eKasi+, channel 105 on

OpenView HD

Tuesdays to Thursdays, 6pm

Social issues are put in the spotlight with Ekse: Let’s Talk with Masechaba Lekalake.

Radio and TV journalist Masechaba Lekalake, comedian Tol A$$ Mo and TV presenter Refilwe Modiselle are friends and hosts who bring their views to the fore.

Actor and musician Miza hits the streets to see what ordinary people think about the topic under discussion, reflecting the views of the average Joe, while the three in studio steer the discussion with the day’s guest as the sounding board and voice of reason.

Social issues are discussed in a matter-of-fact way through the “friends after a day’s work” format.

The colourful retro-styled studio gets animated as the guest and hosts state their views.

From mundane to pertinent social issues, the friends are on hand to dissect topics.

With discussions ranging from personal success to prostitution, even Oscar Pistorius’ murder trial does not escape the hawklike eyes of these three. Comedian Tol A$$ Mo more often than not defuses serious talk with comic one-liners.

For those without OpenView HD, catch the repeats on e.tv the following morning at 10.
