PS: Anele Mdoda

2009-08-22 08:45

5FM’s larger-than life Anele Mdoda is steaming up the airwaves with her

sassy, outgoing personality. She had us rooting for her on Strictly Come Dancing

and will be hosting SABC2’s SA’s Got Talent, which is set to air in October. In

this week’s PS: she talks about her love for good ol’ Jozi and her book

club.

Life is ... tough as it is, be yourself.

My first job was ... as a waitress at Steers. It lasted one day.

Right now I am listening to ... John Mayer and Beyoncé.

The women I admire most are ... plenty to pick from – Khanyi Dhlomo, Michelle

Obama, Oprah, Ellen Degeneres and Chelsea Handler.

My fictional hero is ... no one after lots of thought, I realised I do not

have one.

My favourite place in South Africa is ... Jozi, baby! I just love it!

I love being around my family because ... My little sister has the ability to

brighten up the worst day.

My dream car is ... Audi R8 ... yes, please.

The one phrase I overuse is ... Dude!!!

Before the end of the day I just have to ... have a cup of green tea, known

to cure the worst hangover.

Living the African dream for me would be ... supplying the world with content

in broadcasting.

If I could change one thing about me it would be ... I have the worst

knock-knees, but I figured out a way to stand so they do not show. So no need to

change anything.

When I think of 2010, I think of ... Portuguese player Cristiano Ronaldo.

The best day of the week is ... Tuesday (book club with the girls).

I knew my career and I were meant to be when ... I used to tape radio shows

and not for the music.

My favourite room in the house is ... My bedroom. I have the most comfortable

bed.

My favourite childhood memory is ... all the ones that include my mom.

My next project is ... finding some serious talent in South Africa!
