PS: Pabi Moloi

2009-08-26 15:26

From radio to TV, it seems the gorgeous Pabi Moloi can do no wrong. As she juggles her radio gig on 94.7 and her glamorous job on M-Net’s All Access, she now admits she can sing too! Moloi talks about Captain Planet and her wish to change her somewhat melancholy outlook on life. Life is … what you make of it! My first job was … so long ago but I remember it very clearly. I was four and I got to read books and eat fried chicken. To this day, two of my favourite things. Right now I am listening to … Fat Freddy’s Drop, Aking, Pastor Joseph Prince and a bit of Miriam Makeba. The most romantic thing I’ve ever done is … sing for my man.

My fictional hero is … Captain Planet. Environmental issues are very close to my heart and who’s a better champion for the cause than Captain Planet. My real life hero is … my mother. In addition to my wonderful mother, I consider my

gran and my aunt to be my mothers too. All three are inspirational women – so caring and strong and always feminine. The Garden Route – I love that whole area Wilderness is especially gorgeous but I even think George is amazing.

I love being around my family because … they are

the people who love me, challenge me and will always be honest with me.

My dream car is … the Aston Martin DBS

Volante.

The one phrase I overuse is … Yizzer! DUUUDE!

Unbelievable.

Before the end of the day I just have to …

shower.

Living the African dream for me would be …

having freedom, living in peace and harmony, seeing my fellow Africans

having plenty.

If I could change one thing about me it would be …

my sometimes melancholy outlook.

When I think of 2010, I think of … very good-

looking soccer players from across the world.

My favourite and unforgettable childhood toy is …

my entire set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I knew my career and me were meant to be when …

I thought it was over, it not only carried on but has become SO much

better.

My favourite room in the house is … my bathroom.

It’s where the bathtub is and I love bathtime.

Being in my line of work is all about being …

aware of the goings on of the world, creative, not being afraid to make a

fool of yourself and being relentless.

My favourite childhood memory is … me and my

grandpa trying to start his car in the mornings with Wham’s Wake Me Up Before

You Go Go on the radio!

My all time favourite old school tracks are …

Regulate by Warren G and Nate Dogg. The Mamas and Papas’ California

Dreaming.

My next project is …

hopefully going to blow your mind.
