An attorney for murder accused paralympian Oscar Pistorius, Brian Webber, said today he had written a letter to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) demanding an explanation for a leak of photos of the crime scene where Reeva Steenkamp died.

Webber was quoted by Eye Witness News as saying: “It’s very distressing that these pictures are now in the public domain...

“We have requested from the police on at least five occasions to see the pictures – we have not had sight of them.”

Sky News today broadcast the images showing the toilet that Steenkamp was apparently sitting on when Pistorius shot her, and the trail of blood from when he carried her downstairs to the front entrance of the Pretoria house.

The NPA had not yet responded to requests from News24 for comment by the time of publishing.
