Roads closed for Soweto derby

Traffic will be diverted on roads around FNB Stadium for the Soweto soccer derby today.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said Nasrec Road would be closed between Rand Show Road and the N17.

Barricades would also be erected on the Soweto Highway between Mentz Road and N1. Rand Show Road would be closed between Nasrec Road and Aerodrome Road.

The roads would be closed from noon to 7pm.

Motorists travelling between Soweto and Johannesburg CBD were advised to use the N12 and Main Reef Road.

The match between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs is scheduled to start at 3.30pm.
