‘Sheldean killer’ dies in prison fight

2012-02-13 10:59

A prisoner at Leeuwkop Prison, believed to be the killer of Sheldean Human, was killed in a fight at the weekend.

“It happened Sunday morning,” said Ofentse Morwane, regional spokesperson for correctional services in Gauteng.

“We have launched an immediate investigation to establish what led to this unfortunate incident.”

The dead man was identified as Andrew Jordaan, who was serving a 25-year sentence for murder, rape and assault.

Morwane could not immediately confirm whether he was the same person who killed seven-year-old Sheldean Human in Pretoria in 2008.

The man who attacked Jordaan was serving 15 years for murder and robbery.

The Sowetan reported that the two had argued over a Manchester United and Liverpool football match.
