2012-10-11 08:08

Gunshots were fired at the house of a councillor of the Dihlabeng Local Municipality, in Fouriesburg.

Sergeant Majang Skalkie, police spokesperson in Bethlehem, said Mbozela Radebe (31) was sleeping in his house in Mashaeng when he heard gunshots in the early morning hours.

He said the bullets penetrated the window and door of Radebe’s kitchen.

“He (Radebe) went outside to check, but there was no one to be found,” Skalkie said.

He said the motive of the apparent attack was unknown.

Skalkie said no arrests had been made and the police was investigating a case of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.
