Sushi King cancels ZAR Fest concerts in two cities

2011-05-31 13:51

Kenny Kunene’s ZAR Fest concerts in Cape Town and Durban have been cancelled.

“A decison has been taken to cancel both the Cape Town and Durban concerts because ticket sales were not good,” the sushi king said about the events, which were scheduled for Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

“We realised that it’s unfortunate, but we are in the business of making money. With Cape Town, we were just going to break even, however, considering the cost we would have incurred hosting the artist, it wouldn’t have made sense to still have the concert.”

Kunene added that the Johannesburg concert would continue as planned as tickets were selling as expected.
