Swazi Dlamini to rock jazz evening

2009-08-22 12:47

VERSATILE songstress Swazi Dlamini is expected to rock revellers at

yet another blazing Oude Meester Ekurhuleni Comes Alive Jazz Evening.

Dlamini will share the stage with Afro-pop great Robbie Malinga, a

first-timer at the jazz evening, and guitarist Poy Poy Makhubela.

The event takes place at Birchwood Hotel & OR Tambo Conference

Centre on September 4.

Jazzman Mahlakgane, Birchwood’s marketing manager, says bookings

are going very well, mainly due to Thandiswa’s unforgettable performance this

month.

“People are looking forward to see what Swazi can pull. This is

proof that patrons are really enjoying the set-up at the hotel and appreciate

our efforts to grow SA jazz music,” he says.

Prizes to be won include a weekend for two at the Birchwood hotel,

three hampers of Oude Meester brandy, three hampers from Kaya FM, three hampers

from the city of Ekurhuleni and a high-definition decoder from DSTV.

City Press is a media partner in this not-to-be-missed monthly

gathering of good friends and music, along with DSTV, Kaya FM, Ekurhuleni Metro

and our sister publications, Sunday Sun and Daily Sun.
