JR shows dem with new show

Hit-maker JR will host a new show on MTV Base called Brand:

New.

The show will give new and emerging African artists a chance to

showcase their talent.

In addition to JR getting MTV Base’s stamp of approval, JR’s music

videos will this month go on high rotation on MTV Base while he will feature in

a series of shows on the channel including a “hip-hop classics”-themed version

of MTV Base’s MVP (Most Voted Playlist) show.

Who’s on Letterman

this week?

This week David Letterman chats to a host of guests including the

fabulous Sarah Jessica Parker, who talks about Sex and the City 2, as well as

Robert Downey Jr, who talks about starring opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in Iron Man

2.

New Live presenter almost on the cards

After receiving more than 8 000 entries for SABC1’s Live Talent

Search, four possible presenters have emerged to join forces with T’bo Touch and

Bonang Matheba on the music show.

The top four are: Nandi Mngoma, Nkanyiso Masoka, Minenhle Dlamini

and Gavin Rashopola. South African viewers are now expected to vote for their

favourites by SMSing Voting Live to 39060
