The mutilated body of a missing teacher has been found near Potchefstroom, North West police have said.

The woman’s body was found on a farm at 11.45am yesterday, said Brigadier Thulani Ngubane.

“The scalp was removed from the head with clear cracks, and both ears were lying away from the body . . .”

“She was found with her body facing downwards. There were stones with blood, which are suspected to have been used as murder weapons,” Ngubane said.

Traces of dry blood were also found in nearby bushes and on the banks of a dam where the body was found.

The 43-year-old woman, from Ikageng in Potchefstroom was abducted and reported missing on May 31.

The woman was last seen when she left Randfontein in Gauteng to fetch her car in Klerksdorp in the North West.
