A 13-year-old boy was stabbed and left for dead on a road in Mpendle, KwaZulu-Natal.

The police’s Warrant Officer Joey Jeevan said Siyabonga Muthwa was found by two friends lying next to the road in Mpendle, near Howick, last night.

“Muthwa left home with a friend to go to a shop in the area. Two of his school friends were walking home along the Mpendle Loteni Road when they found Muthwa lying on the side of the road.”

The two boys carried Muthwa to his house where he died.

He was stabbed in the chest with a sharp object.

No arrests were made and police did not know the motive for the killing.

Anyone with information regarding the killing could contact Detective Warrant Officer Mduduzi Sikhosana on 033 996 0612 or the CrimeStop number on 08600 10111.
