The stars came out to play

M-Net celebrated its quarter century in true style by hosting a hunks-and-belles dinner party at their Randburg offices.

It was a great relief to attend a well-organised event, with street marshals directing traffic and one not having to queue or be ushered to a table – there were at least seven registration desks.

But I almost didn’t make it to the three-course dinner after nearly tripping at the sight of my crush Victor Matfield. His brown locks and towering giant physique made me gush.

He wasn’t the only hottie. I sat next to former Idol Gift Gwe, saw soccer player S’busiso Zuma, leered at Survivor host Nico Panagio’s gorgeous smile, and chatted with actor Shona Ferguson. He has the most gorgeous body.

But it was Mrs Ferguson’s black knee-length dress that was the show-stopper. All the men at our table drooled and took pictures with her.

Other guests were former Idols Sasha-Lee Davids, Sindi Nene and Lloyd Cele, celebs Faye Peters, Luthuli Dlamini, Tumisho Masha, Jason Greer and Mark Pilgrim, and siblings Vanessa and Robert Marawa.

Singer Elvis Blue, in jeans and looking sloppy and unshaven, must have missed the evening’s black-tie dress code.

There are new BBF’s in eGoliwood. Sama CEO Randall Abrahams and 5fm’s Anele Mdoda, for the fourth time in a little less than two months, were hanging together again.

The food was divine, the booze went unnoticed but the dessert buffet of crème brûlée, chocolate fountain, espresso chocolate crumble and chocolate mousse gateaux kept everyone smiling.
