Thousands strip down for Prince Harry

2012-08-29 06:57

London – Thousands of soldiers and fans of the Armed Forces have stripped off in support of Prince Harry, who has been under fire after nude photos of him were published on-line.

By yesterday, more than 12 000 people had joined the Facebook group “Support Prince Harry with a naked salute!”

While not everyone was daring enough to take off their clothes, there were those who showed off their naked bodies with pride, the Daily Mail reported.

The pictures of Harry, getting naked during a game of strip billiards in his hotel suite in Las Vegas, surfaced on US celebrity news website TMZ and were then published worldwide.

In one of the photos Harry (27) can be seen cupping his genitals while standing in front of what appears to be a naked woman. In the other he is naked and bear-hugging a woman from behind.

Prince Harry first visited Sin City in November 2011 while on a break from training on Apache helicopters in Arizona.

His antics on that trip were reported to be more demure and included renting a Harley Davidson, taking in a Cirque du Soleil show and staying at the Wynn Las Vegas resort.
