Tip-off leads cops to tik lab

2011-09-30 11:08

Three people were arrested when a tik laboratory was discovered at a house in Milnerton, Cape Town, police said today.

Last night, the organised crime unit and the flying squad raided the house after receiving a tip-off, said Lieutenant Marchell Rhode.

They confiscated 250g of tik, 100g of khat, chemicals to manufacture tik and R13 000 cash, he said.

The total street value of the confiscated items was estimated at R150 000.

Three men, aged between 35 and 42, were arrested and would appear in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on Monday on charges relating to drug dealing, Rhode said.
