Kefiloe Masiteng said she attended a full-year post graduate certificate course on Epidemiology and Biostatistics, which was awarded in 1998.She provided City Press with a copy but it was a certificate of attendance and not a post-graduate diploma.

DTI communications head Clement Manoko said the department was made aware of the allegations against Sipho Zikode during the recruitment process for his current position.Manoko said the matter was thoroughly investigated and referred to the relevant institutions for legal advice.“The investigation did not find any evidence to prove that he had altered his matric certificate in any way and as a result recommended Zikode’s appointment,” he said. Zikode, Hurribunce and Mayende failed to respond to City Press’s enquiries.

The Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs failed to respond to questions about whether it would act against Agingu-Lester and Mayen de .
