Soul stars Nakhane Touré and Nomsa Mazwai will treat fans to a unique performance at Constitution Hill in Joburg to support the UN My World campaign. Both artists have an incredible record of dynamic, vibrant performances, and are keen supporters of important causes.

“I want people to have an amazing night out, but it is also crucial that awareness and action is created by the event,” said Touré.

The My World campaign focuses on input from people who share what they believe are the world’s foremost human rights agendas. In this way, the initiative is slightly different to other campaigns, drawing on the opinions of ordinary people, rather than politicians, for global solutions. In South Africa, the My World campaign partners with the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

Both Touré and Mazwai are loved in the South African music industry, and the concert is set to showcase the best of their musical and altruistic gifts. Touré is an SA Music Award-winning musician, and, in addition to her magical voice, Mazwai holds a master’s in international relations, so the duo are a perfect reflection of how music can be used to support and draw awareness to pressing global issues.

Mazwai said: “Our goal is to have at least 1?million South Africans participate and vote online by March 31. The My World results are recorded in real time and available online at

“Their involvement in helping us reach our goal will be appreciated and would go a long way towards contributing to the empowerment of the people of South Africa.”
