2011-02-05 08:18

Two people had died and one was critically injured in a collision in Robertville in Johannesburg, Gauteng paramedics said today.

“It was alleged to have been a high-impact accident,” said ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks.

He said the accident took place at 3am on Main Reef Road in front of the Highgate Shopping Centre.

When paramedics arrived, one of the cars was on fire with the deceased occupant still inside.

“We still don’t have an ID or know whether it was a male or female.”

The male driver of other car involved in the accident was also declared dead at the scene.

“The passenger in the car suffered massive trauma throughout his body and was taken to the Flora Clinic.”
