Two more SABC board members get the boot

2015-03-27 08:00

Two more board members at the South African Broadcasting Corporation were removed from their positions yesterday.

“The SABC board of directors convened a meeting to conclude the business of the special board meeting that was adjourned on March 12,” the broadcaster said yesterday.

The meeting dealt the alleged fraudulent conduct and nondisclosure of conflict of interest involving certain board members.

“After deliberations by the board it was resolved that Ms [Rachel] Kalidass and Mr M [Ronnie] Lubisi be removed as nonexecutive directors with effect from March 26. The decision in this regard has already been communicated to the shareholder.”
