A wasteful Kaizer Chiefs were held to a second Premiership draw in a row by Polokwane City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium tonight.

Bernard Parker and Mandla Masango missed glaring opportunities while Kingston Nkhatha put himself in pole position for miss of the season when he somehow failed to tap home a cross from Siphiwe Tshabalala in the second half.

Not only were Chiefs careless, but the Soweto team also had man-of-the-match Brilliant Khuzwayo to thank for keeping a clean-sheet and salvaging a point against a Polokwane outfit determined to frustrate their visitors.

The log-leaders dropped points for a second time in three days after a 1-1 draw with Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

Ajax Cape Town now have the chance to reduce Chiefs’ lead to nine points with a win against Bloemfontein Celtic tomorrow evening.

Chiefs are still unbeaten after 12 league games, but have drawn three times, courtesy of Tuesday's goal-shy display.
