Who to watch at #ANCpolicy – Enoch Godongwana

2012-06-25 15:38

At the national general council in 2010, Enoch Godongwana, head of the ANC’s economic transformation committee, famously admitted he did not pay enough attention to the nationalisation debate, thus allowing ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema to spin it out of control.

This conference will be his chance to get things back on track after an ANC study found that the country will not be able to afford wholesale nationalisation of the mines.

The organisers have already said they would limit attendance to avoid the economic transformation commission being overloaded by pro-nationalisation lobbyists, as it was in 2010.
