Who’s next on the Idols chopping block?

2011-08-16 15:01

Who will be in the bottom three tonight? Read our predictions for the Idols results show.

Erin Fourie, Phaksy Mngomezulu and Mark Haze – who received mixed reviews on Sunday night’s “Homebrew Spectacular” show – will most likely be in the bottom three at tonight’s live results show, broadcast on M-Net at 7:30pm.

Erin failed to impress most of the judges when she sang Saron Gas’s “Fine Again”, which got her a scolding from Randall: “It’s not what you’re capable of and it’s not what the standard of the competition should be at this stage.”

Gareth said she was “cutting it fine” while Unathi thought she had done much better last week.

Erin has a lot of support from the audience, but seems to be holding back.

Phaksy failed to “bring on the swag” with his rendition of Loyiso Bala’s “I Want You”.

His moves and interaction with the audience got the ladies jamming along, but the 20-year-old student didn’t bring the vocals.

Mark’s delivery of Just Jinger’s “Shallow Waters” was average. Randall said: “I hate to tell you I think you’re one big rock ’n roll cliche.”

On a lighter note, Kelly Fortuin, Freddie van’Dango, Crushanda Forbes and Dave Van Vuuren all set the stage on fire and probably don’t have anything to worry about tonight.

The results show is free and Sunday’s guest judge, Grammy-nominated singer songwriter Cofield Mundi, will perform live at the Mosaïek Teatro in Fairlands.
