Agriculture, ports, as well as water and sanitation were the topics of discussion when President Jacob Zuma held a bilateral meeting with the Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

“The two leaders singled out agriculture, ports, water and sanitation as some of the key areas the two countries will be enhancing cooperation on,” presidential spokesperson Mac Maharaj said yesterday.

“South Africa and Netherlands enjoy strong bilateral relations and the meeting served to further enhance cooperation in social, economic, cultural and political arenas.”

Maharaj said Rutte accepted Zuma’s invitation for an official visit to South Africa.
