FIVE suspects have been arrested in Durban in connection with a triple murder at a KwaMashu men’s hostel on Friday.

Three occupants of the hostel sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene, while a fourth victim was shot in his hand and admitted to hospital in a stable condition, according to Colonel Jay Naicker.

The motive for the attack is unknown.

Naicker said members of the Inanda police cluster task team and KwaMashu police arrested five suspects, aged between 20 and 30, near the Tembalihle railway station in KwaMashu early on Saturday. They also recovered two pistols and two revolvers with serial numbers filed off.
