ANC ‘dismayed’ by Shenge’s pronouncement

2011-12-07 00:00

“THE ANC rejects Prince Buthelezi’s tantrums,” the party said yesterday.

It was reacting to Inkatha Freedom Party leader Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s public pronouncement at the weekend that certain ANC provincial leaders are plotting his downfall.

Speaking at the IFP provincial congress on Saturday, Buthelezi accused ANC leaders Makhosi Khoza and Meshack Radebe of holding a secret meeting in Newcastle on July 30 with certain IFP members.

The ANC said it noted the allegation with dismay and rejected the accusation as a fabrication and a far-fetched smear campaign.
