2009-07-02 00:00

TWO people were killed and six were injured in a horrific accident involving a head on collision between two 4x4 vehicles on the R603 on Tuesday evening.

Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said six people were injured. “Two of them died on the scene …”

Yesterday morning a truck crashed near the Salt Rock in the KwaDukuza area. Four people were trapped inside the 60-ton truck.

“We had to use the jaws of life and a crane to free the patients from the wreckage,” said Botha.

Another 13 people were injured in a taxi accident in John Dory Road near Durban yesterday morning after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

A truck driver ran away leaving an injured passenger after the truck had overturned on the N3 near Paradise Valley yesterday morning.
