Acclaimed international gospel singer for Northdale

2011-12-02 00:00

INTERNATIONAL R ’n B gospel recording artist Michelle Bonilla will be jetting into Pietermaritzburg next week to perform in Northdale at the FET College Hall on December 10.

She will backed by local band, Newday.

Although relatively unknown in South Africa, Bonilla has performed in the company of established gospel artists such as Out of Eden, Nicole C Mullen, Crystal Lewis, Anointed and Papa San amongst others.

She featured on Cross Movement’s Grammy and Dove nominated album Higher Definition and has also appeared at Teenmania Ministry’s Acquire The Fire.

Bonilla will be performing at the annual Pure Energy music event, which is hosted by city youth movement Regenr8.

Last year the event was privileged to host American Christian Rap Artist DA T.R.U.T.H who is a two-time Stellar Award Winner and Grammy Award nominee.

The event was a major success and drew hundreds of young people from around Pietermaritzburg.

Regenr8 also believes in creating a platform for unearthing local talent and so will see local artists Rough Diamond Projects, Artists Corner, Sonic Remnant, Mano-DLE and K.Da-Vine.

Tickets for the event are R30 per person. The event starts at 7 pm.

For further information and tickets sales the public is requested to contact Mellanie Chetty at 079 913 9564 or Simon Ngubane at 082 847 0829.
