AmaZulu grab late victory

2014-02-05 00:00

AMAZULU snatched a late victory over Ajax Cape Town at Moses Mabhida Stadium last night when an 87th minute Goodman Dlamini strike sealed all three points on a night when the majority of the chances went to the visitors.

The match was well balanced in the first half, but came to life in the second, and the home side came closest when left back Sifiso Hlanti rocked the crossbar after cracking a free kick from about 30 yards out.

The win sees Usuthu move up to second on the PSL log.

In the night’s other league clashes, Orlando Pirates were made to come back from a goal down to beat Wits 2-1 at Orlando Stadium.

At Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, a first half brace from Puleng Tlulanewasn’t enough to secure three points against Platinum Stars as Robert Ng’ambi and Tintswalo Tshabalala scored second half goals to share the spoils.

PSL results last night

AmaZulu 1 – 0 Ajax

Polokwane City 2 – 2 Platinum Stars

Orlando Pirates 2 – 1 Wits.
