Attempted murder: Suspect granted bail

COPESVILLE resident Nillen “Neil” Paparam (42) was yesterday granted bail of R2 000 pending trial on a charge of attempted murder.

As a condition of bail, Paparam is to live in Richmond, and was also ordered not to have any direct or indirect contact with the alleged victim in the case, Pregasin Reddy.

Paparam is charged with firing four shots at Reddy and kicking him during an incident in Copesville Drive on July 17.

Paparam has not yet pleaded to the charge.

The case was postponed to September 6 for further investigation.
