Basketball: squad selected for KZN midlands under-19

AFTER trials on Sunday held by the Umgungundlovu Basketball Association, a squad of 20 boys was chosen for the KZN Midlands under 19 Basketball team.

This gives them a chance to practise together before the Interprovincial championships at the end of this term.

Hilton: J. Booth, A. Griessel, N. Trataris

M College: X. Mchunu, S. Mngadi, K. Mvelase, M. Shezi, M. Zuma

Michaelhouse: N. Baber

St Charles: L. Duma, U. Fisher, J. Mpofu, S. Ziqubu

St Nicholas: P. Dlamini

Treverton: A. Kiviet, M. Litabi

 

Only one basketball result was received and it was a win for College against Hilton.

College nosed ahead in the first quarter and at half time led 17-14. Lacking in practice, the players from both sides struggled to get the ball through the baskets.

In the second half, College moved ahead to win 32-19.
