Berg snow: Wet weekend for KZN

2013-04-20 00:00

SNOW has fallen on the highest peaks of the Drakensberg for the third time this season.

Sani Mountain Lodge operations manager Brian Maher said: “It has been a bit crazy with all the calls coming in, people booking to come up and see the snow …”

Wiseman Dlamini of the SA Weather Service said temperatures would plummet below 10°C in Kokstad, Giant’s Castle,

Estcourt and Underberg. Rain would blanket most of the province, with the weather clearing on Monday.
