Bulls: Three changes against Western Force

2013-02-26 00:00

PRETORIA — The Bulls will have to make three injury enforced changes for their match against the Western Force on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 5.05 pm.

According to the Blue Bulls’ website, Dewald Potgieter (knee, three to four weeks), JJ Engelbrecht (hip flexor, 10 days) and Deon Stegmann (hamstring, 10 days) are all out of the Loftus Versfeld clash due to injuries sustained against the Stormers last weekend.

Potgieter will also miss the overseas leg of the competition as the Bulls play the Blues in Auckland in two weeks’ time, but a call on Engelbrecht and Stegmann will be made later.

According to Bulls team doctor Org Strauss, Werner Kruger (ankle) and Grant Hattingh (sick) will only train tomorrow, but Akona Ndungane and Jacques du Plessis were unable to take the field yesterday.

Ndungane recovered from the ankle strain that ruled him out of the Stormers clash and SA U20 flank Du Plessis has recovered from an AC joint.

Wilhelm Steenkamp and Dean Greyling are on track to train with the team next week after their shoulder and foot injuries respectively.

Jan Serfontein (quad) and Ulrich Beyers (ankle) will join the fray tomorrow as well.
