2008-09-10 00:00

The 10th annual eThekwini Municipality Small Business Fair will boast more than 350 exhibitors, a business conference and the business linkage programme.

“We have a very exciting small business conference business linkage programme and one-on-one business meetings between small businesses and corporate executives planned.

“We have also invited a list of high-profile guest speakers for the conference. These include Durban Chamber president, Moses Tembe, Ndaba Ntsele, CEO Pamodzi Investments, Brand Pretorius, CEO McCarthy Holdings and Sandile Zungu, CEO of Zico,” said Philip Sithole, head of the business support unit at the eThekwini Municipality. Nhlanhla Gasa and three other patrons, Rajen Reddy, Sandile Zungu and Themba Ngcobo have guided the eThekwini Municipality in enhancing the latest edition of the fair.

The recent confirmed partnership between the city and the KZN Department of Economic Development, which has injected about R1 million in support of the event, was described as a crucial intervention towards the empowerment of the SMME sector.
