CARTER High School has been announced as host of the 2012 Midlands High Schools FA Cup, to be held on September 15 and 16. Last year’s tournament was won by Ixopo, who beat Haythorne in a thrilling final and these two teams are expected to feature again, with stiff competition from the hosts and Maritzburg College, who are fresh from winning the KZN U19 tournament. Also included for the first time is a girls’ tournament.

“We are thrilled to be hosting the tournament this year and we will put on a good show for players and spectators alike,” said Ismail Kajee, head of sport at Carter High School.
