Caught: Shoe robber

A PORT Shepstone woman was robbed on her way from work on Tuesday night at about 7.30 pm near Confusion junction.

A man robbed Nosipho Zamekho at knifepoint, taking her cellphone, cash and shoes.

Port Shepstone police were in the area and responded to her cries for help. Warrant officer Johan Zandberg and Constable Dawie Malan chased and managed to arrest the robber as he tried to make his escape. Maxhoseni Yeki appeared in court on Wednesday and the case was remanded for further investigation.

He was charged with robbery. — WR.
