Chavhanga joins talented backline of Sharks XV

2014-03-21 00:00

TONDERAI Chavhanga will be part of a talented backline when the Sharks XV take on the Free State XV in the Vodacom Cup in Bloemfontein this afternoon.

Chavhanga is one of a number of players from Jake White’s Super Rugby squad who will run out for Deon Kayser’s men as they look to make it three wins from three in the competition.

Heimar Williams, who started the Sharks’ Super Rugby game against the Lions, has been drafted into the side for some game time, along with Jaco van Tonder who spent a few minutes on the pitch last week as the Jake White’s men beat the Reds.

The side will be captained by hooker Monde Hadebe who will be joined in the front row by former Paarl Boys’ High School captain Thomas du Toit who is in his first year out of school.

Andre Esterhuizen and Tim Swiel will be missing from the team as they will be in Pretoria preparing to make their Super Rugby debuts.
