City flag at half-mast for four

MSUNDUZI Municipality decided yesterday to fly the flag at half- mast in memory of four young people who died after their vehicle crashed on the N3 northbound on Sunday morning.

Among the four was municipal employee Mancane Thobisile Ngcobo (25). She will be buried in Mountain Rise cemetery following a service to be held in Pietermaritzburg city hall. Her colleagues in the municipality held a memorial service yesterday.

The funeral service of Samkele Khumalo (17), St Charles College headboy, is to be held at the school’s chapel from 9.30 am.

Nomonde Hadebe (19), a Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High matric pupil, will be buried in Ethembeni Memorial Park cemetery after a service to be held in Henryville Roman Catholic Church in Machibisa.

Silindile Nolwandle Manyathi (25), a Department of Transport employee. will be buried in the same cemetery on Saturday.

Her funeral service will take place at St Marks Church in Imbali Stage 1.
