Consultancy opens shop in upmarket premises

2008-08-05 00:00

A Pietermaritzburg-based consulting firm has cemented its place in the local business scene with impressive new premises at the Victoria Country Club Estate in a R6 million investment.

ESP Consulting CEO Shamala Rajah told The Witness the company’s new investment includes a fully-fledged training facility.

Rajah is recognised as the driving force behind the six-year-old company, which focuses on business solutions, training and development and consulting services, primarily in key areas of financial management.

ESP also has accreditation from the Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) for finance, accounting, management consulting and other financial services.

Rajah was inspired to form the company after seeing the need for financial and consulting products among public and private sector clientele. She said areas covered in training include financial management, budgeting, supply chain management, risk management and internal auditing.

Although ESP is based in Pietermaritzburg, its clientele is national.

Rajah said the consultancy focuses intensively on service delivery orientated modules.

ESP Consulting spends a significant amount of time and money each year on corporate social investment.

It employs 19 people.
