Cricket: wins all round for College

THERE were victories for hosts Maritzburg College, Glenwood, Clifton and St Johns on the final day of the College Cricket Week in Pietermaritzburg Wednesday.

Maritzburg College won all their matches by 10 wickets, beating Trinity House on Monday, St Johns on Tuesday and St Davids yesterday.

St Davids were dismissed for 109 with Nicholas Hendrie picking up four for 22. Maritzburg College chased down the target without losing a wicket as Jarred Walsh and Gareth Roderick both made unbeaten half-centuries.

St Davids 109 (Nicholas Hendrie 4-22) Maritzburg College 111/0 (Jarred Walsh 52*, Gareth Roderick 52*). College won by 10 wickets.

Glenwood 219/7 (Wesley Wepenaar 47, Shahil Ramdin 43, Dylan Browne 44, Matthew Feinstein 3-40) Trinity House 176 (Brandon Donion 31, Calvin Reeves 35, Preyen Perumal 3-33). Glenwood won by 44 runs.

St Johns 247/7 (Devon Conway 102, Jason Newton 69*, Sashlen Reddy 3-49) Westville 187/9 (Bruce Kruger 43, Tim Spence 70). St Johns won by 60 runs.

Clifton 208/9 (S Rossler 48, R Logan 33, K Floudiotis 4-39, J Tlokotsi 3-25) PBHS 195 (P Ray 36). Clifton won by 13 runs.
