Crime: Hilton residents warned

RESIDENTS, motorists and pedestrians of Hilton outside Pietermaritzburg have been warned about a number of robberies at knifepoint in the area as well as thefts from vehicles parked near the N3.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joey Jeevan said that a number of cases in the area have been reported to the police.

The crimes, which involve the stealing of cellphones and items of clothing among other valuables, seem to be concentrated near the N3 area, Monzali Drive, Hilton Avenue and Sundale Drive. Residents have been advised to go walking in groups of more than three.
