DHS still the side to beat

KWAZULU-NATAL sees Durban High School as still being the side to beat while the other sides are fairly even. DHS scored almost three goals to one against Westville when they beat them 126 to 48 on Saturday.

Maritzburg College won their two matches played last week, with the Saturday game against Alexandra a comprehensive 85-34 victory.

Alex was outplayed in all quarters of the match. The winners set up their victory­ in the first quarter, winning it 24-5.

Alex played much better in the second quarter but they still did not outscore College and were down 19-40 at the halfway stage.

In the second half College continued to dominate, with Phinda Dube scoring 20 points and Alex just managed 15 points to the 45 scored by College, giving the latter a good win.

College were involved in a midweek game against St Nicholas which College won 40-27. On Saturday St Nicholas had an exciting one point victory over Carter, winning 42-41.
