Dalton's wife filing for divorce

2007-11-22 00:00

“It's so very tragic. I love James, of course I love James. But I simply cannot live like this any longer,” she said yesterday.

“In certain respects, it would have been easier for me if we'd been parted by death. Death is awful, but it's easier to deal with than my suffering right now.”

Andrea said this in an exclusive interview with Beeld newspaper, her first since becoming embroiled in drama last Friday when her husband allegedly tried to drown her and strangle her at their home. Andrea said she was planning to have divorce papers served on Dalton this week.

“I don't bear grudges in my heart and I don't want to become mean or childish … I still love James. But we must go our separate ways now, for both our sakes.”
