Double: celebration for Crusader’s Dan Carter

2013-04-01 00:00

CAPE TOWN — All Black flyhalf Dan Carter has double reason to smile this Easter, with the birth of his first child and his Crusaders team-mates beating the Stormers at Newlands on Saturday night.

Carter and his wife Honor earlier this week announced the birth of a son. “We’re thrilled to announce the birth of our son, Marco James Carter, born 28th March, happy, healthy & handsome,” the couple tweeted. Carter married hockey player Honor Dillon in 2011.

Carter stayed behind in New Zealand while the Crusaders embarked on their Super Rugby tour to SA, where they beat the Stormers 19-14.
