Drizzle sees two matches unfinished

2010-01-16 00:00

DRIZZLE in the late afternoon prevented two matches playing to a conclusion on the final day of the Hilton Festival. The other two matches were won by Kearsney and Michaelhouse.

Kearsney won all three matches including their last 50-over game against Paarl Boys, which was a very significant one and gives an indication that Kearsney will again be very competitive this season. Richard Pentecost and Chad Bowes both scored half centuries.

Michaelhouse won their first match against St Johns, after two draws in the other games. They bowled St Johns out for 91 reaching the target with six wickets in hand.

Hilton can thank Kevin Davies, batting at number nine, for their total of 182 as they were 72 for 7 when he came to the crease. He ended on 69.
