Electricity: operation bite back vs Pitbull

2010-10-08 00:00

BUSINESSES hit by Operation Pitbull — Msunduzi Municipality’s electricity disconnection drive — can e-mail nowbiteback@gmail.com if they feel they have a valid grievance.

William Walker, who is involved in the initiative, says a well-known law firm has agreed to take up the matter.

“Businesses affected need to be able to communicate with each other. We need to process all the claims and then get a legal opinion on each ‘type’ of problem we are having,” said Walker.

He advised that people should not panic or feel pressured by the municipality. If you feel you have a grievance, pay your normal amount and in writing lodge a query on the rest of the account and hand this in at the municipal office, 333 Church Street.

In the meantime, businesses are attempting to find out what their rights are in this matter. To register to be part of this initiative send an e-mail with your details to: nowbiteback@gmail.com.
