Enter Knysna Rocks Competition

2011-11-11 00:00

KNYSNA Rocks has launched a search for a South African band in the Head2Head Competition.

This is a chance to perform in front of thousands of fans and alongside legendary artists, including Prime Circle, Johnny Clegg, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Elvis Blue and many more at the Knysna Rocks Music Festival this summer.

The prize hamper includes an opening slot at Knysna Rocks on December 23, an opening slot at The Assembly in Cape Town and a week’s worth of recording time at the Red Bull Studios. Entry and voting is free.

To enter the Head2Head Competition, bands must complete a short informational profile on facebook. com/knysnarocks before November 29. The top 10 bands will be announced in the press soon afterwards and the competition will enter the voting stage, where fans can vote once a day until December 12.

The band with a mixture of the most votes and best marketing campaign will win. The winning band will be announced on December 13.

All entries will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals.

Knysna Rocks Music Festival takes will take place at the sports grounds in Knysna.
