Entries for Face of KZN now open

2014-09-25 00:00

ENTRIES for the second annual Face of KZN, for both males and females, are now open.

The entries are open to all races between the ages of 16 and 35. The contestants will compete for the prestigious and coveted Face of KZN that will take place on 8 November at the City Hall.

The Face of KZN is the brain child of local educator and former model Bengs Nkosi.

It was conceptualized in 2010 in order to discover young and fresh unknown faces in the modelling industry.

Anyone wanting to enter must presently not be engaged to be married, pregnant or married. They must be prepared to render awareness campaigns, teaching other youth about the social ills that are obstacles in their daily lives.

Two winners will be crowned as the Face of KZN from both genders. They will be ambassadors for the youth of KwaZulu-Natal. The winners will walk away with R10 000 vouchers in prizes. Celebrity judges and auditors will facilitate the contest, which will be filmed professionally and broadcast later on national television.

Well known Durban-based artists Afrosoul and DJ Block will keep the audience entertained. Tickets are R100 from Checkers, Shoprite and Computicket.
